Fireplace

Tonight I suggested that we set a fire in our fireplace and Kyra laughed reminding me that the last time I did it singed my eyebrow off.

Seriously.

The hair on my face became red with embers for a second as I was hurled back by a gust of gas flame. Then they were white for like a week.

As a girl in middle school did you ever wonder what boys your age were thinking hat made them do the things they do?

Exhibit A: fartman. According to the artist an evil canon has fired a bomb at the sun and fartman is propelling himself through space to rescue mankind.

Found this old book my mom always read me as a kid. I read it to rose tonight. Crazy. Also, don't you think the kid looks like Leo?

Glorious

I've not recieved much glory in my life. My nerves always got to me in basketball games. Also I've played music in front of groups before but I'm not very good.

I wanted share an outstanding moment from college with you however. We were playing dodgeball a mens retreat for campus crusade for Christ and I was the last one in on my team left in the game.

At that point the rules declared that the other team could pursue me without boundary. Around i ran from many pursuers in the tiny gym. The rules also said however that if I were able to make a shot from half-court without being hit I would free the rest of my team.

I don't know how I did it because it all happened so fast. No sooner than I released my Hail Mary I was pummled my a speed ball by my bible study leader. The shot drifted in the air for a long spell and then...Swoosh.

Glorious! Lol

Eleven

When I (oliver) came home from work today Kyra showed me the stuffed bear she found in our closet. It's white. With heart boxer shorts. I got it for Kyra on valentines day one year. Eleven years ago!

What's even crazier is that that same year she gave me dumb and dumber on VHS.

Here's to a great past and a great future.

Married to a three year old.

At a marriage class we attended a few weeks back the teacher said marrying some one with unresolved issues can be like marrying a three year old.

Knowing rose, Kyra and I laughed thinking about what this would imply....
