Kyra: Are we on Landon Street?
Oliver (a bit lost and in the dark, thought it said London Street): ehh....no.
Kyra: Where are we going?
Oliver (worried that he is now lost and will be late to the airport): It's a surprise.
Kyra: Are we going to the airport? Cause it sounds like we are going to the airport.
Oliver (who is now spinning the car around in a cul de sac to redeem his cause): What do you mean sounds like we're going to the airport?
Kyra: Well, if that was Landon it means you must have just turned onto Barker, which only leads to Brick, which means we are probably going to the airport to pick up my mom! For my surprise! YAY! (blindfold still in place)
Oliver is now discouraged on many levels.

haha. aww. it was a good try.
This reminds me of the time I was driving Kyra around South Bend last year, and a lady stopped to ask directions for Brick Rd. For those of you who do not live in South Bend, Brick Rd. is a disaster to stay on. It stops and starts about 3 times in South Bend and goes around curves (old farming boundaries) and shows up on the other side of town. I was about to tell this driver that it was almost impossible to explain.
Whereby, Kyra asked this lady which Brick Rd. she meant; when she got the response, Kyra told her exactly how to get where she was going, including approximate mileage, number of lights, etc. I was dumbstruck, trying to soak in this information that I had not figured out after driving around South Bend for 12 years as an adult. You have to remember that Kyra grew up here, and only lived here as an adult for about 1 1/2 years.
I felt like a foreigner, an out-of-towner, or maybe someone who had been blindfolded for the last 12 years. Kyra strikes again. Of course, Oliver inherited half of his directional genes from me, so it kind of makes sense. Sorry, Odub!
